Celebrating the Birth of Hazrat Abbas (a.s.) 26 A.H. Although not an Imam nor regarded as one of the Masoom individuals (he is not within the circle of the 14 Infallibles), Hazrat Abbas ibne Ali (peace be upon him) possesses a very great rank in the sight of Allah (glory and greatness be to Him). Born in the immaculate family of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family), he was the half-brother of two Imams – Hasan and Hussein (peace be upon both of them).
